This is a great place and a great value. If I could change only one little thing it would be to get the water in the shower a little more hot; it’s not cold but not quite hot—a little over lukewarm. I’m sure this could be a quick fix from a maintenance engineer. There is a little road noise, as well, which you can’t help being that close to the main road. Overall, it is a really great hotel that is easy to get to and close to everything (ferry, airport, restaurants/shops, and my work. I travel every other month for work, and I will likely stay again (if they can heat up the water a little ;0).

What a tropical paradise! We were blown away by Hideaway! If you are looking for a private, family or couple getaway, this is the best place around! The simplicity might be a little less than what some want, but the stay met every one of our needs. The environment was beautiful and the beach was our favorite on the island! Little touches everywhere were not overlooked by my family.

The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829!

Wyndham is a timeshare complex. Beware of the sales pitch you will be presented with at check in. There is no breakfast offerings at the restaurant. The restaurant is not affiliated with the Wyndham and the service is very lacking. What is really nice about the stay is the staff. They are very amenable to your needs. The resort is also very quiet and you can always find a beach chair.

I recently stayed at Margaritaville Vacation Club St. Thomas and overall had a really great experience. The property is beautiful, and the atmosphere truly gives you that relaxing island vibe. The staff was amazing—everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was the number of stairs. Getting to our room required quite a bit of walking and climbing, which can be a bit tiring, especially after a long day. They do offer golf cart rides, which is definitely a plus, but since it’s a busy hotel, you may have to wait a little while as they assist other guests. Overall, I would still recommend this resort for a relaxing getaway. Just be prepared for a bit of walking!
