"Wonderful hotel and location! So much history. We stayed for 2 nights and loved every the experience, walked all over arts district and old town and waterfront. I needed to use my laptop for a few work meetings and WiFi works best in common areas, but they were all very quiet and comfortable, so it wasn’t an issue."

"This is a very nice motel when traveling in the Northern California coast with modern furnishings and ascetics and kind staff. Actual coffee and water bottles provided in the rooms. Good coffee and donut shop nearby. Economical rates too for a quick one night stay."

"The Victorian Inn out of another century is more than charming, it seeps into your bones, as does the town of Ferndale. Even the tall stairs that test you, reward you. The high ceilings, the artwork, the gracious staff, the antique room key. If only I could bring back the steam heater, instead of a dusty modern unit …"

"We stayed 3 nights and loved this hotel! The Oasis outdoor area was so much fun. Also easily walkable to the waterfront and Historic Old Eureka. We liked the layout of the property and appreciated the security of the premises."

"The Scotia Lodge was a charming and fun place to stay. It's an older hotel that dates back several decades, but you can tell that a lot of work has been put into updating and maintaining the building, the rooms and the grounds. The location is great too: only a short drive to the Avenue of the Giants and Humboldt State Park in one direction, and Fortuna in the other with Eureka only a short drive further. The staff were very helpful to us, too, in helping store my mountain bike overnight so that I could rest easy, knowing it was secure. Staff were unfailingly friendly."
