The place was clean and very friendly staff. I’d recommend staying here, but I would note that the dinner spot was closed while we were there (not sure if it’s because we went in the offseason or if they actually had private events there, which we didn’t see) and that the beach on the property had so much seaweed buildup that you couldn’t really go into the water, which wasn’t their fault. The good thing is, is that they had a free shuttle everyday from 12-4pm to a beach nearby that had no seaweed. Other than those 2 things, no complaints.

Flight from Miami was delayed because of thunderstorms, called hotel to let them know, no answer.... Called many times, left messages and phone numbers, no call back, nothing. Finally got to St. Croix and went straight to the hotel, exhausted, ready for shower and bed, long day, got there at 3AM. Nobody around, AT ALL!!!!! Had to sleep in the rental car until 7AM. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Will never go there again and will never, ever recommend. Worst in my entire life and I travel all over.

I stayed at The Waves on a solo trip, and it was honestly the perfect place for me! From the moment I arrived, I felt safe, comfortable, and completely at ease as a woman traveling alone. The property was extremely clean, the view was unbelievable, and the staff was amazing. Tom and Charlette were fantastic, and the restaurant servers were wonderful as well. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous enough that I had leftovers to enjoy later. Housekeeping was also great and always on time. The only time they didn’t come was when I accidentally put the “Do Not Disturb” magnet on the other side of the door. My only small note is that they didn’t restock the bottled water during housekeeping, but I simply brought my own water back to the room, so it wasn’t a big deal. The room had a mini fridge and dishes, which came in handy for storing and enjoying my leftovers. There was also a complimentary bottle of wine and snacks waiting in the room. The wine was a complimetary Malbec, which isn’t my personal preference, but if you love Malbec, you’ll definitely enjoy it! Overall, I truly have zero complaints. I had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend The Waves. I would definitely stay here again!

I had to make a last minute reservation the price was one the best. Arriving sweaty distraught and heart broken. Jamie the “everything person” there ie check in/ bartender/ local artist promoter. Was so kind and engaged. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is AMAZING so much history and decor still from all the years of it’s opening which was back in the 1700’s Beautiful views calm friendly people. Will always recommend this place and understand why it’s remained open this long! Thanks to all the people that work there you represent the truly amazing part of the island.

Went here for my Wedding Anniversary everything was amazing. If I come back to the island I will visit here again.
