Elbridge Vacation Packages

Arrived on a Saturday in July for Syracuse orientation on a Monday. When we came in, the front desk attendant was sitting on the stairs to the left of the front desk, partially hidden from view. Admittedly, we were early, but when I asked if there was a chance we could check in early, we were given keys to a room, which was occupied. When we went back downstairs, we were told it might be a little while, and I gave my phone number. We went off to explore campus, and I got a call a few hours later that a room was ready. I missed the call, so we went back when we were done, and I was told that room was no longer available. I must have looked confused, because the attendant said “I called you twice.” While we were waiting for a second room, another family came off the elevator, and said they had also been sent to a room that was not vacant, or cleaned. We eventually wound up in a very nice room on the 6th floor. The hotel is being renovated, and the rooms are very clean. But there was only mirror in the entire room, and it was in the bathroom. The newly renovated shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, and as another reviewer commented, the towels are pretty small. The night time attendant Saturday and Sunday was great. We asked for extra towels, and he brought them to our room. Overall, the experience was relatively underwhelming. As a family with a student starting at SU in a few weeks, we’d be spending a lot of time at hotels in the area. We won’t be back here

This hotel is unfit for guests. It looks more like a place for horses or donkeys than for people. I have never seen such a filthy and poorly maintained property. The rooms were extremely dirty, the overall hygiene was unacceptable, and I honestly wonder whether the health department has ever inspected this place. To make matters worse, it is outrageously expensive for what it offers. This is not the quality of a real hotel—it’s a complete disappointment. I would strongly advise others to stay away.

The staff was excellent, friendly, and very attentive.
