The best area to stay in El Portet is along the beachfront and the immediate streets leading up from it.

This area is the heart of El Portet, offering direct access to the sandy cove and its calm, clear waters. The main promenade runs along the beach, lined with a selection of restaurants and cafes. The streets just behind the promenade are residential, featuring villas and apartments, many with sea views. It's a compact area, making everything easily reachable on foot.

For families, this beachfront area is ideal. The shallow, protected bay is superb for children to swim and play, and you're never more than a few steps from your accommodation if little ones need a nap or a snack. The convenience of having dining options right on the beach means less hassle for parents.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will also find the beachfront appealing. The tranquil setting, the sound of the waves, and the opportunities for leisurely walks along the shore or up to the scenic viewpoint at the end of the beach create a superb environment for unwinding.

The best time to go to El Portet is during late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September-October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

These shoulder seasons offer warm, sunny days superb for enjoying the beach and outdoor activities without the intense heat and busier atmosphere of the peak summer months. You'll find the sea is warm enough for swimming, and the coastal paths are very inviting for walks.

Families might find early September particularly appealing. The main school holidays are over, meaning the beaches and local restaurants are less crowded, yet the weather remains excellent. It's a great time to enjoy the calm waters of El Portet beach and explore the nearby town of Moraira at a relaxed pace.

For couples looking for a tranquil escape, May and early June offer beautiful conditions. The wildflowers are often in bloom, and the evenings are mild, superb for dining al fresco with views over the bay.
