This is a very cute happy pub and steakhouse. Great grub and friendly atmosphere. Love staying here. This was our third visit and we are booked to stay on another trip.

The room was nice and very quiet. The food (both evening meal and breakfasts) was very good - evening meal being reasonably priced with lots of options. We've scored Linton Hotel as an average on some basic housekeeping points which hopefully they will learn from. The bedroom was clean and quiet, but basic Hotel housekeeping surely requires at least one full toilet roll....not a part role only with the guests having to ask for one! We stayed two nights, but no housekeeper replenished the tea, coffee and milk . We don't mind cleaning the cups ourselves, but surely this should be a fundamental action if these facilities are in the room, guests shouldn't have to ask for basics! The bathroom and bedroom had nowhere to dry towels and again these were not replenished. If this is not part of Linton Hotel's 'services' at least provide a heated towel rail and tell the guests in advance. Likewise there was a TV with supposed access to hundreds of channels via the Internet......except it didn't work! There were no instructions, my partner did ask one of the staff....who said 'it hardly ever works!' They need to work on these points. We stayed there because we couldn't get two nights anywhere else. Its attention to detail that gets good reviews!
