« Stayed at the 3 horseshoes as a mid way break on our way up To The Lake District for an wedding, hotel is clean and comfortable, bar is well stocked and they weren’t Charing rip off prices, the restaurant was very good , wide range of food available, we were joined by our daughter and 6 year old granddaughter for dinner , the staff were really accommodating with us changing time of meal … even though they seemed a bit under pressure as they had a wedding taking place … »

« Nous avons eu la chambre N°1 qui est vraiment agréable avec un grand lit confortable. Idéal pour se reposer après une journée de marche. Le soir nous avons diné à l’hôtel en ayant réservé une table. Nous avons attendu 30 minutes avant que quelqu'un prenne notre commande. Et j'ai été déçu par la nourriture, sans doute que je m'attendais à quelque chose d'une plus grand qualité dans ce genre de cadre. En conclusion c'est un lieu vraiment chouette et typique pour séjourné, mais ma mauvaise...

« A lovely stay, very close to Alton Towers. The staff were lovely & the continental breakfast varied & suited us well. The rooms are separate "chalets" with allocated parking spaces next to each front door. We were concerned that staying in a pub may be noisy, but had a very peaceful night's sleep! The beds were very comfy & the family room spacious enough for 2 adults & 2 teenage kids (as long as they are happy in bunk beds!) The rooms are very dated & could do with a freshen up. "Rooms a bit dates and nothing special at all for the price. Better options nearby. I have a habit of staying here regularly when in Sheffield on business as I have done so for years...and have stuck with it because of on-site parking and ease of access etc. However, the parking is now managed via a 3rd party and if you leave the car park for an hour and come back it's a pain, as there are just 2 payment rates (£12 day rate/£18 overnight). There is a way around it by explaining to reception each time but I just found it badly managed and impractical. Executive rooms are basically standard rooms with a coffee machine and a bathrobe. Breakfast is good. Shop nextdoor is handy, and a good range of restaurants nearby"
