« My family and I had a lovely stay. The pool was naturally the highlight especially for our 12 year old who never wanted to get out. It was so much bigger than we expected. The Cottage itself was nice and cool all week despite the heat wave and clean and comfortable throughout. The nearby walks were all breathtaking with some amazing views on top of Thorpe Cloud. We are definitely going to book again. »

« The plus side: Nice clean cottage, welcome basket with fresh bread, haribo sweets, wine. Flowers on table, tea, coffee, sugar and even treats for the dog. Sky/netflix. Bed very comfy. Nice white towels. Good communication from owner. 2 local pubs- the Nelson ...no food gd beer. Rising sun, pub grub. Both friendly pubs. negative side: Right on a very busy,noisy road. We could not work out why so many lorries etc cut through there. We did sort of get used to the noise except early...

The kitchen had a large 7 ring hob and double oven. An extra couple of saucepans and larger mugs would be useful. Cosy and very near the town centre. Helpful to have a visitor parking.permit. Basic hand soap and shower gel.provided. Tea and biscuits provided. Bring.your own.provisions. A very nice base for seeing The Dales. »

« I go away with work most weeks and this has to be up there with one of the best places I have stayed in. Would love to come back in the summer. I’ve now booked up for my third successive week. The kitchen is perfect, plenty of work space and well laid out. Bit of confusion over the microwave until I realised it was built into the oven. Maybe do with a washing machine. Great surroundings and a great place to stay. »
