« I go away with work most weeks and this has to be up there with one of the best places I have stayed in. Would love to come back in the summer. I’ve now booked up for my third successive week. The kitchen is perfect, plenty of work space and well laid out. Bit of confusion over the microwave until I realised it was built into the oven. Maybe do with a washing machine. Great surroundings and a great place to stay. »

« A very clean, comfortable cottage, spacious and well equipped with everything that you need. Cosy and warm. Great walks from the door, beautiful area with all that the Derbyshire dales has to offer. There is a friendly pub across the road where we enjoyed a pint but only serving meals at weekends currently. 10 minute walk into the village where another pub, also friendly (the black swan) serves food but with a limited menu. « We have just returned from a couple of nights at Brewers Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and bigger than it seems from the photos. Foolow is convenient access to some lovely areas and walks in the Peak District, and just a 10-15 minute walk from the cottage is the local pub that does fabulous food and has very friendly staff. « This was a return visit to Waterfall cottage for us. It is so cosy and comfortable with walks accessible from the front door, and a few minutes drive away from Matllock but Bakewell and Chatsworth House are also nearby. Mrs Else is so welcoming and left us a super welcome pack and shared photos of how the cottages were built back in the 80s. We will definitely come back again but for a longer stay as there is so much to do and see. »
