"A great location. Extremely clean rooms and friendly staff. Walkable but there isn’t a lot in the town. Wine and cheese receptions great touch as were the free cookies. Great sitting area across the road near water. Great spot to catch sunset."
Door County Romantic Cabin in Ephraim Near Trails

"The cabin is almost hidden, wedged between larger houses and tucked into a hill where Highway 42 meets Moravia Street. Total parking capacity is one small car. As you walk down the sloping path and a few stairs to the front door, the road just behind you disappears from view. Inside, it’s quaint and quirky and a pleasant place to stop between adventures. One of those adventures is just down the road. Ephraim Preserve (Anderson Pond) features a variety of flora. Both loops of the trail are interesting, with several changes in terrain. Likewise, nearby Peninsula State Park has a stunning view from Eagle Tower and scenic trails that took us through several mini-biomes, from high on the ridge down to the lakeshore and back. In town, we tried the Old Post Office restaurant for a fish boil, the Chef’s Hat for breakfast, Prince of Pierogi for dinner and Good Egg for breakfast to go on our last morning. All were tasty and provided good value. Also, the Ephraim shoreline makes a lovely walk at sunset. Back at the cabin, the kitchen was well-enough equipped that we could prepare a couple meals, and the water hot enough for satisfying showers and shaves. The back deck made a pleasant place for morning coffee. Ephraim is a quiet little town, and despite being right on the main drag, this is a quiet little place to stay. p.s. We never got around to trying the kayaks or bikes; there was so much else to do. Next time!"

"The host for this property were wonderful and the location is really hard to beat. Quick access to both sides of the peninsula. The back porch and fire pit out back were a real added bonus for the stay."

"Ron and Carol were the most gracious hosts. The bikes were able to be checked out free of charge to guests for the stay at the resort. The pool was crystal clear and super well maintained. My wife and I swam there every day of our stay. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Bathroom and living room were perfect for our 3 day stay in Door County. The complimentary daily coffee and Kringle offered a very classy touch to each morning. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with gorgeous flowers and a firepit and ample outdoor seating areas with tables and Adirondack chairs. We feel like we made friends with Ron and Carol while we were there along with a few other guests. The resort is conveniently located right across from Peninsula State Park. We are already planning another trip to Door County and plan on staying here once again. Perfect. Most excellent - 5/5 review. Thank you Ron and Carol for helping to make our first trip to Door County one we will never forget."

"This is the 2nd time we have stayed on the property. Our family reunion included 16 people, all adults ranging in ages from 23-75. Everyone was able to have their own room. We were all able to gather in the house for meals where the table was large enough for all of us. Emily responded to my questions/concerns very quickly. She was very pleasant to work with. Since we were there 2 years ago the bathrooms had been renovated and a hot tub added. The hot tub was very well maintained. The large private backyard with fire circle was very pleasant. We had several campfires. I highly recommend this property."

"Great property with a pool and private beach access. My only complaint would be the AC unit in our room wasn’t functioning properly and made it a little difficult for me to sleep. My wife was fine though so it might be more of a “me problem” than a “room problem”"

"The property was just as pictured and in a wonderful location in beautiful Ephraim situated right outside Peninsula state park. Plenty of fans do you can leave the windows open when it's cool out. We loved relaxing at the property in between all our other adventures. Coffee and the Old Post Office within walking distance. We also loved sitting and watching the sunset right across the street. The shower had awesome water pressure and plenty hot. The bed was really comfortable. Definitely plan to return. Next time we'll bring the dog and the kids and stay at their other 4 person property!"

"Quaint and cozy cottage, tastefully decorated, great location walking distance to beach and downtown Ephraim but off the main drag and as quiet as could be. Nice lawn area for the kids to run around. Amazing value, would definitely stay again. Only thing I would improve would be more cooking & dining utensils, and better kitchen lighting. Really, that's it!"
