What an amazing place....well worth the price difference to upgrade to a junior suite

The young, enthusiastic, energetic staff were, without exception, completely willing to help with whatever was needed. It should be said that there is no real reception; you just go to the restaurant and someone will check you in. Despite it being downstairs from the restaurant, it was quite quiet. The room itself was quite spacious and well decorated. Would happily stay there again.

A clean and comfortable hotel, with free parking and buffet breakfast, are the great highlights here. For a no nonsense stay, highly recommended.

Room was very comfortable, bathroom was very nice. Restaurant served very good food.

Access to the Edinburgh airport from the property was not easy. Better maps and directions would be appreciated. Otherwise .... I enjoyed my brief stay!!

We stayed here a few weeks ago for a week. This time we were only here for two nights so we were put in a smaller room on the second floor. It was just right for two nights. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we come back to the area.

We opted to stay here to have a spot outside of Edinburgh. The town itself was really charming and there were restaurants and coffee shops within a short walk from the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at the kitchenette that was a part of the room. Rooms was brand new and beautiful with upgrades such as recessed colored lighting and heated floors in the bathroom. Overall a beautiful facility that we would definitely revisit!

When we were checking in, there was an awkward moment where there was a manager speaking harshly to a staff member. It was uncomfortable and should have been done elsewhere. However, the young woman at the desk was so professional in handling it and she made it all disappear with the quick flick of a door. She was amazing at how she addressed it without a fuss. And whoever she is, she arranged for us to get a car in the morning. She was so professional and lovely. The restaurant and the food was...

We stayed at the Abbotsford Lodge for 2 nights and were extremely impressed by the cleanliness, the staff and the whole environment of the place. It is not just a B and B, but more a cross between that and a hotel. Everything is in good condition. The room is small but very neat, tidy and clean. The breakfast was literally white glove service. You can't go wrong with this meal and it was only 5 pounds, which is cheap for Scotland. The staff and owners were very welcoming. It should be rated 5...
