Ideal, quintessential English stay. Loved every minute

Pleasant surrounding, with very clean room, helpful staff, quiet throughout the night and good supply of amenities. What I didn’t like was lack of a walk-in shower and over done eggs when sunny-side was requested. Both minor. Very good stay at The Chequers. I recommend it.

We had a big old room in this marvellous old country inn. The ensuite accommodation is completely updated and modernized, but the atmosphere remains totally original and real. Lovely garden, plus play area for children, and a wonderful eclectic collection of animals and birds in two large enclosures, for children and adults to enjoy. Traditional pub bar with fireplace, beams, stone floor, lots of dark wood, old furniture, good beer. The Brocket Arms used to be charmingly difficult to find,...

Unique and beautiful! Kind and helpful staff.

Great location, nearby park breakfast was great staff wonderful

We were welcomed by a very friendly staff member who checked us in quickly. The room was very clean and very quiet. It was very hot during our visit and the lack of air conditioning was unfortunate but the hotel provided two fans. Air conditioning would be a bonus. The location was excellent.

Amazing stay, this hotel is stunning and the staff are so friendly. The food was so good and the cocktails too. I would stay here again for sure.

Wonderful stay at this hotel! Staff were extremely helpful! Very close to the tube station (Green Park) and sites like Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly and many more cool places.

This a beautiful small hotel adjacent to the British Museum. The staff are friendly, attentive and committed to ensure comfort and a great stay. Great food in the restaurant, atmosphere in the bar and central sitting with coffee in the morning and hot chocolate in the afternoon. Short walk to Russel Square tube Station gives quick access to the London sites and a direct connection to Heathrow. Will definitely stay again the next time we are in London.

The hotel was perfect for a 4 night stay in London. The location was so central and near a subway station. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy. Just be mindful if you book the King deluxe room, the bed is more of an XL double. It worked for four nights. The breakfast was wonderful, with many healthy options to choose from. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Being a family of 5 means difficulties finding one room arrangements to fit us all. The Kings suite with 3 bedrooms and a full kitchen/living room at the Taj was ideal and worked out essentially the same as booking two rooms in a standard hotel in central London. This was my first time booking through Expedia which saved $ and also scored free breakfast each day for our entire clan. (Moreover, this is the first time I have ever left a hotel review!). To be honest, I had never even heard of the...

From arrival to departure, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs. We enjoyed the full English breakfast and overall food experience. The hotel is centrally located to all main sites that made our booked excursions/tours convenient. The only downside to the hotel is that the rooms are a little snug. Otherwise my wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Everything was good for a "budget 5-star hotel". Keep in mind this is a boutique hotel and spaces and amenities are small and limited. I have no complains but on the other hand I was not blown away by anything either.
