Some great things about the cottage that we didn't even see in the description: - Very close to rail trail - nice walk to Taughannock Falls about 5.5 miles round trip - Heated floor in the bathroom! - Gas fireplace comes on automatically based on temp setting - very cozy! »

« This little red retreat was the perfect place for my family to spend Christmas together this year! Great location and very private, it had everything we needed -- and more. Comfy beds, a fully-stocked kitchen, well-appointed furnishings, gas fireplace and a hot tub. Impeccably clean! John was easily reachable and very helpful when we had a few questions -- a great host! « The house is nice. The problem is the “65 steps” refers to how many stairs you need to climb down to get to the house (which is at the bottom of a cliff). Some of the stairs are a little crooked and don’t seem 100%. It was very difficult for my elderly in-laws to manage. We would not have rented here had I known this. I did send the owner some questions when we first got there but got no response. Other than that, the house was good. It would be beautiful during the summer. »

« We had a great stay. The location was great and easy to get to nearby wineries and a short drive from other attractions. The place was clean and the host was very responsive. There is a nearby trail for running/walking for early morning exercise if necessary. »

"As soon as we arrived, the clerk told us how to get to our room, but it wasn't clear. The manager took care of us to show us our room. His purpose was to sell us the dinning facility, and he was a little too pushy for me! The driveway to the check in had a big hole which was easy to fix temporarily with a bag of gravel rock! The front door of our room was filled with sticky leaves from last fall. The environment around the Hotel is splendid. "
