"This was a nice place to stay. One caveat to future people that stay. Make sure your card has good clearance and is able to go up a steep hill without issues. We had a Toyota Camry rental car and it had a little trouble. This has nothing to with the quality of the stay. Just make sure you have Jeep, Rav4, or something that is good on hills. "We spent 5 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean, and the host was extremely gracious. This spot is ideal if you’re looking for a comfortable place to wind down at night while spending your days out exploring the island. Red Hook harbor is about a 30‑minute drive, and several beautiful beaches are within 20 minutes. We also appreciated the included beach chairs, since rentals can add up quickly.
