"Overall I don’t know that I recommend this hotel.
First, the good: the entire staff was super friendly and accommodating, it was easy and reasonably priced to book a private taxi through the hotel for day trips, and the breakfast buffet was really good.
The bad: it was next to impossible to get any sleep during our three night stay. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything next to and above you. It’s also located on a busy street and next to train tracks (with constant honking by both...

"Perfect location, right on an empty gorgeous palm fringed beach. The resort is set in beautiful gardens and the bungalows are very well appointed and beautiful. Staff are excellent. All the facilities are first rate. Guaranteed to have a perfect stay here and a highlight of our trip to Myanmar."

"This is a new hotel, that is clean and quiet. The staff are kind and very helpful. The American breakfast is quite good and i really like how polite all of the restaurant staff are. I stayed for 3 weeks here because of a job and in the end I was sad to leave my “family” at Baitong Hotel. "

It is wonderful to see Melia hotel staff waiting for us at the airport entrance as we arrive Yangon airport 01:00 a.m.
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We try all 3 restaurant in the hotel and the Olea is the best. The lady staff Haymar is very friendly and provided a high quality of service during our dining time.
We will visit Melia again on our next trip to Yangon.

We took a $7 US taxi (Taxi stand manager speaks English) from the airport to the Sedona Hotel, in Yangon. We were greeted by staff and helped to our room quickly. The room was newly renovated, dark granite, glass in the bathroom and restful decor. We could not hear a sound from the street below. Great pool and restaurants. We were given a 50% off their buffet for being over 60. Large plaza across the street with everything, even a grocery shop. Helpful and extremely relaxing stay

Stayed two separate nights at this hotel.Staff were excellent and service was great.I was drawn to the location being halfway to the city from the airport.Liked that it was in a quiet area on the lake and being an older building it has nice thick walls...didn't hear a thing on either side.Massive buffet breakfast and storage for bags which proved helpful for me.Great visit...great management and staff-Would highly recommend if the location suits your purposes
