The condition of the rooms is not as shown in the pictures. Overall, the biggest minus was really the price. Everything in Myanmar is rather cheap but this hotel was more expensive than a 5 star luxury hotel in Yangon. Thus, we expected it to be of same standard but it turned out to be a complete rip off! The rooms itself were alright but buying anything at the hotel was approximately 10 times more expensive than buying it at any restaurant in the area. The restaurants and bar over looks the pool and to to river looking west. Which meant the most amazing sunsets in the evening. Together with the 2 hr happy happy made a perfect evening followed by dinner. The tomato and peanut Burmese salad was great! We stayed in a deluxe river view room And worth the extra to stay there. The staff were always super friendly and only too happy to help with anything. They had their own ebikes to hire which is the best way to see and get around the many temples. As the resort is off the roads you don’t hear traffic and that ever present horn honking all the drivers do!! If I was to go back to Bagan again this is where I would stay again. Really consider this place to base yourself as you explore Bagan - oh and make sure you book a hot air balloon ride.
