Pool closed, any food you had to get from sister hotel. Tried to get ice for my drink I had but at 22:20 was told bar closed so said just need ice but apparently no ice and was advised to go to sister hotel! Hotel currently undergoing renovation I believe and our room was in nice condition and bed comfortable and for what you can pay ( only paid £42 for 1 night) and had a double room with part sea view I think it’s definitely worth the money. Would consider staying again but if you can afford more then worth staying at sister hotel The Carlton as pool and restaurant open.

Windows sealed shut, no fresh air in the room. Air conditioning didn’t work, reception would not provide us with a fan. Room booked for 3 people but only enough amenities for 2 people. Asked for extra pillows as only 1 provided per person, got told by reception they would give us some but when returning to the room nothing had been left and no one on reception. A staff member in the morning was rude to me as I had propped the door open with the chair as it was boiling inside. This was 10:30am when check out was 11am. The housekeeper demanded we shut the door as there were ‘guests sleeping’ but then proceeded to use the Henry Hoover in the room next door which was a lot noisier than we were. Overall an unpleasant experience and would not recommend.

Clean room, friendly staff, pleasant bar, terrace and breakfast area. I prefer a cup/mug for my tea or coffee, and both days these were sparse, although takeaway cups were available.

Be sure to talk to the staff as they are extremely helpful and will try to understand what you want and need. Make use of the pool and the facilities and do roam around the beautiful garden. Hotel it is in an excellent spot close to the beach and a wonderful hike in the hills and the classical garden nearby.

Rooms are small but very clean and adequate. Cooked us pizza so we could watch the football and fridge full of beer. Didn’t rip you off with the price. Breakfast was ok and again did not rip you off but with the price. Harvester just up the road beer and food. 40%off.
