However, take into consideration that the property is a 3-hour drive from the airport and the hotel does not provide transportation (costs an additional $USD200 for private transportation from the airport). Daily breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very kind and accommodating. "

"The place is conveniently located. Near a mini mall, groceries, fast food chains and bus line to downtown. The house manager was always nearby. The house was generally quiet and charming. "

"This is a perfect property for travelers needing access to the San Jose Airport and many car rental companies. The property is gated, with street parking in front of the facility. The open kitchen allows guest access to use of fridge, microwave, coffee and water and eating area. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable with spacious bathrooms. No AC but ceiling fan in room. Note that this is a CASH only facility which caught me by surprise. The host was also gracious to allow us to drop luggage...

"Address was not clear. Taxi driver had big difficulty to find the place. Even you find the street difficult to find the B&B place. Taxi charges a lot."

"Mountain Faro is a simple, clean, and well-located property, with a good breakfast included. Yes it is up a hill, but you are in Monte Verde and everything is up or down a hill. The staff, led by Lady, are lovely, welcoming, and so helpful - including recommending restaurants, helping to arrange tours, and arranging transport as needed (for tours, or if you just don't want to walk the hills). I was not feeling good with a flue stomach and was hoping for fresh food and they always seemed to find it for me. They helped with a booking tour and pointed out some animals. The pool was clean and refreshing. The only thing I could say that the curtains on the big windows where a little bit of a challenge to cover everything or get into the door and the lounge chairs...
