"Wine down is the perfect place for a family reunion/gathering. The layout is great, with all four bedrooms in the corners of the house making noise from room to room minimal. The central meeting area was perfect for entertaining with a great kitchen. The outside kitchen and pool area with fire pit was great for hanging outside in the great Concan weather. Overall this is an excellent place to stay and we recommend it for everyone"

"We were four couples with one child each. The kids got their own bunk room. There's one room connected so those parents can be close by. Of course there's lots of additional beds but this was a nice arrangement for us. Evenings we spent by the pool. We had dinner together outside at the long table. The dark sky and quiet is wonderful for star gazing and the friendly town was fun to explore. This was a perfect place to watch the eclipse, (if it weren't for the clouds). The living room is really beautiful with so many windows everywhere. The kitchen is lovely and well equipped but the cupboards could use an upgrade. The silverware drawer was very difficult to open and there are no handles. We anticipated no supplies being provided or available nearby but were pleasantly surprised to find some toilet paper and kitchen/ bathroom toiletries were provided. Also, the little shops in town have all the basics. We even found delicious things for the BBQ, drive thru margaritas, and local pie! I recommend making reservations for the nearby Frio bat cave. An amazing experience. We never saw any bugs or spiders in the house but they were around the pool a bit. Probably nothing harmful. We enjoyed being close to nature and got to see a fox and a skunk, too. Sitting by the pool in the mornings we saw so many songs birds in the trees. Overall a really beautiful memorable experience. I'm really glad I found this place."

"We rented this property for a reunion of four families. We all agreed that we had a really great time. The property is gorgeous. We have plenty of spaces to hang around, for kids and adults. We used the pool (heated) and hot tub a lot. The firepit is a hit for smores and volleyball court is a definitely a plus. The kitchen and refrigerator are spacious, allowing our group to cook all of our meals during the stay. We appreciated the bathroom in every bedroom for each family privacy. The communication with the host is excellent, always prompt responses. We truly had a great time and enjoyed this property a lot, wouldn't hesitate to come back if we are in the area!"

"Great location, close to the Rio Frio concerts and the golf course! The house was clean and everything was very nice."

"First off, let me start by saying it is a great location. One other house is close by, but there is definitely a lot of privacy. Upon the arrival of the home and inspection windows were broken, blinds were broken or missing. There was no fire extinguisher and the air condition filter was extremely dirt. Emailed the office to get the AC filter and fire extinguisher but received no response. The windows were so dirty that you couldn’t even enjoy the view outside. The refrigerator outdoor took two days to cool and the indoor refrigerator was missing a vegetable container. the beds are extremely hard and making a lot of noise. The dishes where so dirty we made sure to give everything a scrub before using. If you are planning to cook for a lot of people make sure you take your pots and pan because the ones available are very small. Under the beds very dirty as well. Overall great location but DIRTY."
