Commerce Vacation Packages

We came to town to celebrate our anniversary and the rich history of the city. Our stay was wonderful from the staff to our room. Special thanks to Tina at the front desk. She took the time to give the history of the hotel to sites to see and restaurants in town with great history. Again, thank you.

Nice place to stay.

Makanda inn is a very well maintained place. The room was very comfortable, and the staff was excellent. The breakfasts were delicious.

The hotel is the nicest Holiday Inn Express I have ever visited, building and room-wise, but the staff were not attentive to managing unruly guests who significantly diminished the experience for other guests. Specifically, when we were checking in, we could barely hear the front desk clerk, as she provided us information, because a large travel group for youth baseball had overtaken the dining area with a birthday party for one of the players. No other guests could comfortably enter the room to enjoy the complimentary cookies. The next morning at breakfast, a guest literally washed his hands in the juice dispensing machine between plates of eating from the breakfast buffet. He literally pushed the water dispenser inside the drink dispenser and rubbed his hands together, letting the germs from his hands land in the grates of the juice dispenser, before picking up another plate to fill it with food. I loudly commented, while 2 staff were replenishing the food stuffs, and no one did or said anything. We obviously stopped eating breakfast, then.
