"This hotel is in the heart of the old downtown Portland, west of the river. It was a block to the venue, and convenient to the library, many nice restaurants, coffee shops, and other shops. The hotel lobby is beautiful, and the bar was a fun place to eat, drink, and people-watch. There is a more formal restaurant and a gym on the property. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with great views of downtown Portland. The off-site parking was a block away and reasonably priced, although the parking spaces are a tight fit. All in all, a much better experience than we expected. Would definitely stay here when in Portland again."

"There was no iron, no microwave, the pillows were small and not soft, the free breakfast was a pancake making machine not good at all. The sheets and shower curtain were torn from being old."

"We had a great stay at Hotel Eastlund for 2 nights. The front desk staff gave us some great suggestions for restaurants around Portland. I had read a number of reviews from people complaining about the noise from the train that goes right by the hotel. The room we were in was great and we barely heard any noise during the night. If the window was open you could definitely hear it though. Our room was pn the 5th floor directly above the entrance to the lobby. We were facing the street with the train but we had no noise issues. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. It was a great location for us as we were in town for a concert and the stadium was less than a 10 minute walk away."

"Waffles were premade which was nice and kept people from piling up. However we booked a 2 queen bed and requested a crib and mattress for our 3 month old. We were told because we had two beds we didn’t need one, but could come back later that night and get one if we felt the need. Pool was dirty and hot tub wasn’t hot enough. We were also charged extra for a parking fee and animal fee that we were not notified about prior to booking. Laundry room was so load it sounded like it was in the room with us. Air conditioner was also very loud. No trash cans or water fountains. Had to go into weight room for both. Soda machine was $4 each. "
