The outside of the property didn’t look very nice. However the inside of the property was surprisingly modern especially the room. The bedroom window shade was electronically controlled and bathroom was very modern.
The property uses keypad to unlock the main door, the lift and the bedroom. The bedroom is very spacious. The property owner was amazing and prepared a basket of snacks and treats and bottled water in the fridge and an expresso coffee machine. 😀

This was a very nice property and very close to the Main Street by the water: close to the train station and restaurants. Only thing that was a surprise was how to get in when we arrived: we buzzed the door and a person answered and said we needed to send a photo of our passports, then pay a tax on line which we did. Apparently she had sent me a message through Expedia a couple of months previous but I had not been notified. Just be aware when you book. Also they have a card to put on the door...

An absolute gem!
This is a review of the Museum Guest house property, but before I get in to the details of the property itself I must first give praise and thanks to Francesco – you can not ask for a nicer or more helpful host.
Once booked Francesco was in contact to make sure any questions I may have were answered. As the date of my visit approached, once again Francesco reached out and was very welcoming and helpful.

Don't let the exterior fool you. Not much to look at from the outside, but the rooms are top notch! They look to have been recently renovated. Very clean.
The staff (Milena?) was very responsive and helpful. She even arranged our transportation to the cruise terminal at the last minute. Thank you!
Would definitely recommend staying here!

Clean room, fresh looking interior exterior was under construction-made harder to find. Staff friendly. Close port - walking distance about .5km (15-20min)

Easy instructions to get in, responsive staff, clean room, a small issue with the shower drain, it took a while to clear but otherwise was lovely before our cruise. Thank you!

We had a one night stay here after a cruise and before heading into Rome and we wished we could have stayed longer! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and staff are so helpful. We did not have a car and were able to arrange transportation through the hotel. Once there it was easy to walk to the Lake or to town. The best part is the restaurant - eating here is a must and was one of the best meals of our trip. We will definitely stay here again.

Sestra Strada is a gorgeous guesthouse in Civitavecchia. I wish I could have stayed for more than one night. The hosts are wonderful, the setup is exceptional. The shared kitchen area has everything you’d need if you want to prepare your own meals complete with a big dining table where to can gather with the other guests at the property. There’s only two apartments in the property, both fully contained with their own private bathroom. There’s a loft upstairs where there’s a huge queen bed, TV,...

This was a fantastic place off the beaten path! The hosts were amazing, the breakfast was the best we have encountered in Italy! Family run and operated! The attention to detail was fantastic. Restaurants were within walking distance and the hosts had excellent recommendations for us! We loved this place!

Location was great. Owner, Marco, was fantastic - prepared wonderful breakfast, very helpful with transportation. He was also proactive in reaching out to us in WhatsApp for arrival times etc.
This was the ONLY place in Italy (including our cruise ship) that had an electrical socket by the bed!!! Extra points for that.
Had unique lighting set up in the room, which was neat but we had a hard time figuring out. if we'd had more than one night we might have mastered.
