Chippewas of Rama First Nation Vacation Packages

The positives: Clean bed, linens and overall general upkeep was good. The negatives: Some standard items that I would have expected were missing. There was no full length mirror in the room to double check your outfit before heading out. I also didn't an ironing board or iron but this might be available at the front desk, I didn't ask as I didn't need it. There was no coffee maker or kettle in the room. 2 bottles of water were provided and a mini fridge. The staff mentioned there was a Tims up the road, but I usually make my own coffee, even bringing my own press, but I still need a kettle. Safety: The entry door features a single lock with just a twist knob between you and anyone driving by the highway. No secondary deadbolt or sliding bolt was installed on the main door. As a single female this made me a bit nervous. All in all it wasn't terrible, as a clean bed is my biggest requirement and they fulfilled that, but I wouldn't stay again unless the safety concern was addressed.

Clean room and nice stuff

very peaceful and quiet place. no outside traffic. other cottages are even at quiet distance so make it very comfortable. private beach too.

Me and my wife stayed for one night and before booking I was concerned re some of the reviews. It looks to me that the owners are trying to restart this property. It definetly could be a great destination. This property with its location provides a great launching base for all type of travelers heading into Algonquin Park. We stayed in the motel rooms over looking the lake. The rooms along that side have been fully renovated inside and was spotless. New bathroom, flooring and furniture all of it new! It was perfect for our needs as we canoue out of the outfitters across the road the next day. For this purpose I highly recommend this place. As for the grounds they do need work and once they achieve this then it would be great for longer stays. If you want to start and end your Algonquin Park experience with a clean shower, bed and a relaxing night then I highly recommend this place.

We were unfamiliar with the Haliburton Post House and booked two nights , mid week, on a whim to get out of town. The room was beautiful, the food and wine selection was great. We took advantage of their waterfront and toys on what may have been the hottest day of the year. Thanks to the staff who made us feel welcome and were the highlight of our stay.
