I'd recommend getting some curtains at least. The ear plugs were a nice touch, because it was extremely loud at night due to street noise and the clanging pipes. I wanted to use the oven, but there was no pilot light. Also, the front door to the street seemed to be open quite often due to other residents so that did not make me feel the most safe. Also, if you are planning to have a maintenance worker in, that should be done before the guest arrives or after they depart. The idea of letting a stranger into the flat with me while I was staying alone was not very appealing and felt unsafe. ##### Kelly S. Check in was very clearly laid out and communication with the host was easy and very responsive. She always responded within minutes and was able to help with any questions I had. The studio apartment was quiet and comfortable. Perfect for relaxing after a long day traveling around Chicago. The location was great for us since we had a car to drive around. But there was no guaranteed parking. However, lots of street parking in the neighborhood across N Milwaukee Ave, so we never had an issue!
