I was given my room key. I had to take an elevator to 28 floor I Arrived at my room, guess what??someone was in the room. Scary!! This happened twice. Ridiculous!! At one point My key to the room didn't work!! I had to go to receptionist twice. inconvenience!! Location of hotel perfect!!

We checked in during the recent software glitch that had both hotels and airlines in a bit of a mess. The staff at check in was wonderful and patient dealing with the stress of having to hand check in multiple guests. The issues came on the second and third days of our stays as our keys wouldn’t work and we realized they were handing out master keys that could open multiple rooms. There were also issues with guests being given rooms that were already assigned! On top of this the cleanliness was sub par. The rooftop pool is very small and the tile around the pool is lifting. The building is very dated and in need of some serious repairs. Be ready to wait for the elevator as the lines are long and there are not enough elevators per guests!

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn at Magnificent Mile in Chicago and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of town and within walking distance to so many attractions. We were able to easily walk to numerous restaurants, shopping centers, The Bean, Navy Pier, Lake Michigan, and the Riverwalk. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was served every day, which was a great start to our mornings. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chicago.

I booked a double bed and city view high floors for me and my wife and 2 kids When I was check in the white women was so rude and just book me in a room was Concrete surface no CA no cooling system I went down and the elevator only three crowded all the time I told her the problem and requested to be in another room she said there is no rooms available and the AC is going to be fix she will send someone to fix it After 30 mint teh technician I I believe his name was Patrick Knock in the door and check the room and says oh no this have no AC unit at all. Let’s come with me we gonna book you in another room so we went down and Patrick talk to the same lady To book me in another room and she said OK she was taking care of everyone Check in book a room for them and ask me to wait a A few minutes, she took more than 30 mint and ask me to go back to the same room let someone get the key for new room to the room I’m at. After another hour I went down again and she left for the night I saw a young black men I told him what happened he said Let’s go to get your room and within 10 minutes. I got a room and high floor with the city view, even if it was 1 king bed it’s better then stock with my family in that tiny room with no AC working. The hotel is good but some of front desk staff need to be Nice and friendly because people come to spend their money and I’m having a good time and a good stay in the hotel not having a bed and hard experience. I hope is not going to happen to anyon.

The air conditioner was either freezing or the heat came on . When I complained to the desk the lady was very nice but said "Its old . That's what it does, it can't be adjusted " There are not enough elevators for a 40 story building. People waited 20 minutes for an elevator at busy times.

Great value for the price. Great location. It’s not the fanciest hotel, but it’s comfortable, clean, safe and comes with breakfast in downtown Chicago convenient to everything. Can’t beat it. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone.

I dropped my earring the the nightstand in between the 2 beds and when I got on the ground to look for it I found 5-6 pieces of Milk Dud candies on the floor up against the wall. They did blend in with the baseboard but it just shows the room wasn’t very thoroughly cleaned. Staff did the best they could to keep up with the busy crowd but with only one front desk and one valet person, the wait times were absolutely ridiculous. $69 to park but it took sometimes 30-40 minutes to get to your car. Being able to text ahead was nice but it doesn’t really seem like it makes much of a difference. Not to mention the elevators had lines of people on every floor waiting to get on. ESPECIALLY the lobby… it was so crowded it was actually hectic trying to get in and out. The hallways and elevators didn’t seem to have a/c so it was hot and each elevator ride was packed so tight you were pressed against strangers but nobody wanted to miss the ride because it may be another 10 minutes before another one comes. 40 hotels floors so stairs didn’t seem like a good option. The pool seemed nice but we opted out because of how crowded it was. Stayed on a Sunday night and wasn’t expecting as big of a crowd. Nice variety of snacks for sale in the lobby. Comfortable beds. Nice location. Wish it wasn’t on a one-way street but hey, what can ya do.
