Hotel de Roubaix

10/10 Excellent

"This is a great location and super artsy and creatively designed hotel, we loved it. We stayed a week and it was wonderful with very friendly staff. We would have enjoyed a small refrigerator and microwave in the room and also a softer more comfortable mattress but the linens were really nice. Thanks!"

H4 Wyndham Paris Pleyel

8/10 Good

"I stayed in this Hotel during my Paris Holiday. This Hotel is a very affordable option and is only 30 minutes aways from central and tube stations are right next to it. It has a warm pool but you need to book a slot. 3 restaurants a very nice bar with panoramic views. The only issue I had with this hotel was the room service is very slow. My room wasn’t cleaned for 3 days and I had to request the reception twice. They sent a staff member in the 3rd night and he very rudely handed me fresh towels from the door instead of replacing and changing them. Apart from them I had a good stay. They offer breakfast. Try booking a room on top floors to get a view of Eiffel tower."

Campanile Prime Paris 19 - La Villette

8/10 Good

"Fire my first trip to Paris as a solo traveler, the hotel was perfect. It was extremely close to the Metro entrance, it was clean, very modern, and the bar and lounge are was very welcoming and had a nice ambiance. As an American and English speaker, the staff was polite, accommodating and at least one staff member spoke English. My only complaint is how thin the walls are, but everything else about this hotel overshadows the lack of efficient sound barrier. Would definitely recommend."

Aparthotel Adagio Paris Centre Tour Eiffel

8/10 Good

"The view of the Eiffel Tower was fun and we enjoyed watching it twinkling in the evening. There are a couple of other buildings in the view that you don’t see in the listing photos but it was still a beautiful view. There was no housekeeping included but the staff provided clean towels when we asked for them. We were less than impressed with the breakfast and coffee but we had early days planned so being able to grab a quick croissant was helpful but for the cost of the room a more appealing breakfast would have been nice. There were no clean plates so we used a bowl. There was one water filter system in the lobby which saved us from purchasing a lot of water but there was often a line for it. The location was good, about a 10-15 min walk to the Eiffel Tower, the tube, a wonderful bakery, and a large grocery store. We never saw the pool since we didn’t spend much time in the hotel other than sleeping. Overall it was okay but I wouldn’t stay there again if we returned."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Cévennes?

The best time to go to the Cévennes is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities.

During late spring, the landscape is lush and green, and wildflowers are in bloom. Temperatures are generally mild, making it ideal for walking, cycling, and exploring the national park without the intense heat of summer. This period is particularly good for those who enjoy hiking and seeing nature at its most vibrant.

Early autumn offers similarly agreeable temperatures, often with clear skies and comfortable days for outdoor pursuits. The changing colours of the foliage add a beautiful dimension to the already striking scenery.
