"I only stayed overnight and I wished I'd had more time because there are so many things to do and see. It's just s gorgeous place. It was peaceful in my room. I enjoyed the balcony the next morning with my coffee. I plan to return and stay longer."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Highlander Mountain House .. with a few caveats. First the good: The staff were friendly and helpful, the location is ideal - right in the heart of downtown easily walkable to many shops and restaurants. The room was attractive with soft linens and quality toiletries. However, the room was very small, and as such it didn't feel like the owners utilized the space efficiently. The nightstand space on each side of the bed was decorated with snacks (for purchase), coffee accoutrements, books, records, record players, games, etc. While all of these were thoughtful touches and useful for entertainment purposes, it left no real place to put anything. There were no additional shelves or tables that could be used to place items other than the floor. A small luggage rack was provided which can accomodate one suitcase. It then became piled with all our other belongings because I didn't want to put my purses, coat, jewelry box etc on the floor. Even if we had chosen to use the provided record player, there isn't really anywhere to place it in usable position besides the bed. I would still stay here again, but it would be nice if there were less entertainments in the room and more useable space."

"The rooms were small, but reasonably clean. There was a public hair on the tub, but otherwise looked clean. We requested an extra towel since there were 3 of us, and that seemed to be a challenge for the staff. The front staff told my husband to ask the housekeeper for a towel, the housekeeper demanded the dirty towels first, so we had to request another extra towel the next evening, it took a while to get it. My husband found some paraphernalia under a chair and near a drink machine, and we reported it to the staff. The rooms were not very sound proof, and we had noisy neighbors…. All in all, not a great experience. The front staff was polite though."

"Hotel is vey neat, clean and modern. Front staffs are very helpful and friendly, especially evening shift. Room is very clean. Only draw back are Phone doesn’t hook up or line up in room 321. Shower tub floor is very slippery. Morning meal doesn’t have bacon. Not much fruiits in the bucket. Only few apple served."
