"What a beautiful Inn! Good location for the beach. The parlor and dining room was more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The room was adequate with some nice antiques as you would expect. I wish there had been another chair there for my husband to sit. Don't always like sitting on the bed to watch tv or eat something. The mattresses should be turned over or replaced. It was quite soft especially on the edge. Breakfast was delicious. Best stuffed French toast I ever had! Nice gal keeping everything going! I sure appreciated having free parking on the street! The whole town has paid parking everywhere. What a turn off! A lovely place to stay in a lovely town!"

Avondale by the Sea Motel

"My husband and I loved Avondale! This was our first time here, and we would love to return. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and made you feel like family. Our room had a wonderful view of the beach across the street from our front window and balcony. The balcony had a small table & 2 rockers to sit in which were comfortable. Our room was spotless and was kept beautiful all week. The staff did some cute creative bows with the towels. The continental breakfast offered fruit, cereal, fresh bagels, various muffins & donuts, ice water & juices. There was nice, mellow music in the background, not loud. The staff maintained the area for cleanliness constantly. We easily walked to places & tours in town. Most shops & restaurants are close by. We just loved being able to wake up & go across the street to the beach to walk & see the sunrise. In the evening we walked to see the sunset. Recommend!"

"Absolutely one of the cleanest hotels I've ever been to. The staff cleaned our room twice a day. The onsight restaurant (Rusty Nail) was wonderful. Will definitely stay here again."

"Again, I had difficulty accessing the hotel room after I had prepaid and provided you a copy of my license. There was somebody on site that was able to Hilton, but it was not smooth."

"We had a room on the fifth floor. Only one elevator that the staff had to operate so we walked up and down five flights of stairs many times. But it is an old building so I guess I should have expected it."
Angel of the Sea

"The Inn is lovely and the staff is wonderful. The breakfasts were very filling with lots of great choices and the teatime and wine and cheese in the afternoon were lovely. The property could use some upgrading. The bathroom ceiling tiles were moldy and need to be replaced and outside of the guest room were trunks filled with cleaning supplies which should have been stowed way more discreetly. It’s an old house so the upkeep is considerable, but for the room rate, the place could use a little love."
