Bel endroit sur la plage cependant, l'hotel a besoin de travaux. This was our first visit to this lovely place…I cannot call it a hotel…it was more like home. The room, the parlour/dining area, the location, the service, the staff, and the food was everything we could hope for and more. The afternoon tea/sweets and the evening wine/cheese were just icing on the cake. And be prepared for one of the best breakfast services you can imagine. We are definitely returning next year and want to bring more of our family along. My sister and I went on a Sisters Getaway, and it was absolutely wonderful! The Angel of the Sea felt like something straight out of a Hallmark movie—so charming and quaint. And the front desk clerk and breakfast server? Don’t even get me started—they were incredibly personable, welcoming, and full of great information. Our room was a king room with an ocean view. Our bed was extremely comfortable. Linens were clean. Bathroom was clean, but hallway railings were sticky, and stairway carpets were worn. The place seemed tired. It was a lovely. The service could not have been better and each staff member was extremely helpful and friendly. It is a beautiful Victorian mansion decorated in Victorian Style. However, there is no lounging area for guests. It’s all eating areas. Angel of the Sea has all the charm you could hope for. It’s a beautiful, well maintained mansion. Everyone on the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Excellent breakfast every morning. We were half a block from the beach, a very easy walk. Afternoon tea and cakes were great. Convenient parking right behind the mansion, Complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas and towels available for beach use. Bicycles available for sightseeing excursions. They thought of everything. Did I mention the staff? They were great! We felt so welcomed and appreciated. The staff was very helpful and the service was wonderful. Many amenities were offered.
