"It was a beautiful place to relax and rejuvenate"

"We originally made a reservation for Friday night, paid in full. A day or two latr, we received an invitation to extend our stay to Saturday night at a special rate. After the third such email, we talked it over, and accepted, then made extra plans for the weekend. We also took out travel insurance just in case. The day of our first night, we got a notice that our "request" for the extra night would not be honored. I called three times during their stated office hours once to the listed emergency number, asking what the heck was going on. No one was there, left three voicemails asking for help. No one called back. With check in only four hours away, we finally found another hotel for both nights, and booked that. I tried to use the trip insurance but was told it had expired at midnight the previous night, so no refund was possible. So we are out $200, and to add insult to injury we FINALLY heard from the hotel this morning saying essentially that this was our fault, no refund. This was a popular weekend in Cannon Beach, and i suspect the hotel was hoping to sell our room twice. Not the way to do business with us, certainly. This morning we finally got "

"I'm so glad we splurged a little to stay here. It was worth it! The view was great and fhe room was really nice. Wish we could have stayed for a week! We'd be on that beach everyday if we could. Will come back sometime for another sunset/sunrise."

"The kitchen was fully equipped and we did cook our dinner one night. I especially liked the iron and compact ironing board to iron our clothes. The parking was very close to the room. We also utilized the complimentary laundry facilities."

"There is no central air at this location. I'm not saying this as a complaint necessarily because some people might be okay with that. The Oregon Coast is a humid area and there was only a relatively small A/C unit in one bedroom, upstairs, in our particular unit. Even at full blast, one room was cool and some what cold, while the other bedroom was warm and "wet", on the same floor. The walls are thin, you can really hear the people next door, and in our case, below us, walking around and talking. There is very limited parking, maybe enough for one car per unit, with two spots having to park very close to the corner. We really liked the location and felt it was reasonably priced, but when we return, we will seriously consider other properties."
