« We were greeted by Bella, the family's dog. She followed us everywhere for the 2 days we were there. The house is big, great for large groups. Kitchen is alright. It could be cleaner overall but nothing gross. You gotta be ready to deal with bugs as they're big gaps under the doors. No mesh in the windows. We had to deal with a scorpio, a frog, a big ass spider and a bat ! We walked around in the coffee farm, it really is a beautiful place, super quiet. about 20 min to Santa Elena »

« The strong points are that it’s very calm/ quiet and in the middle of a large nice garden where you can already see a bunch of animals. No restaurant / breakfast on site but you have a few options nearby (walking distance) or you can take the car. Also the kitchen are well equipped if you to cook yourself something (incl a blender which is nice for pina/ mango smoothie :) »

« The cabin was in a pretty location on the side of a small lake — but the location doesn't match that on VRBO which states it's in La Fortuna town. It's actually several miles out of town, which was a problem for us since we didn't have a rental car and there's no public transport serving the area. The owner offered us a lift into La Fortuna on our first day, but beyond that we had to keep booking Ubers which also were quite unreliable. The cabin was nice but could do with a bit of upkeep —...
