"We had a very poor experience at this hotel. Just a one night stay to visit my kids who live in Richmond. The first room had a mechanical issue with an aircon unit in the bedroom that's not pushing good air but making a terrible compressor sound... Couldn't be turned off and so chang d rooms at 4am. The second room, as we entered the room after 4am, had both aircon unit running full blast, very cold. Attempted to adjust thermostat but aircon unit in bedroom would not shut down. Managed to unplug it. Finally, a quiet room that's cold but acceptable. Would not stay here ever again."

Food and Breakfast:** The breakfast was superb, with a distinct Southern Virginia touch that felt comforting and refined at the same time. I enjoyed Virginia ham for breakfast, and it truly took me to heaven—rich, savory, and perfectly prepared. The menu felt both fresh and thoughtfully curated. Staff and Service:** The staff were outstanding, delivering Southern charm with professionalism and warmth. Each interaction felt personalized, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Rooms and Cleanliness:** The room was immaculate, with classic decor that maintained the hotel’s historic charm while offering modern comforts. "We liked everything about The Boulevard Inn. The location was excellent. We enjoyed being able to walk to Cary Town as well as several outstanding museums in the area. The Inn is located in the neighborhood of many beautiful older homes which we found to be very interesting as we explored this part of historic Richmond. The staff at the Inn were extremely friendly and helpful providing information about the neighborhood. The breakfast was wonderful as well as unique each day. You could tell that everything that was served was fresh as well as delicious. Our room was not only clean and spacious with every convenience available for our comfort. It was also charming and welcoming. We definitely recommend The Boulevard Inn for your next stay in Richmond, VA"

"Great location, easy in and out, and clean. It is in the Fan district so it is an old track style home, I think that adds a lot of charm. Where the charm stopped for us is in the quality of furniture, mattress and seating. Mattress was awful, couch is a college dorm couch with equally bad support and there are not any other comfortable seats in the home. "
