Our first morning, we saw all the wildlife you normally have to pay for in La Fotuna, we saw 20 plus Tucans, howler monkeys, and other monekys shortly after. There were so many wonderful sounds with a wide variety of birds. We did not need to use the AC on the property as the nights were cool enough to sleep comfortably. The only thing I can point out with caution, is make sure you have an SUV with 4x4 as the road leading up to the property is pretty steep and treacherous especially during the rain. The hosts were amazing, they provide you with a welcome basket with breakfast items that last you a couple of days and any left over food, they provide to their workers, very nice jesture. I aske them if it was possible to have a bouquet of flowers for our visit, and boy did they ever. Their landscaper Pastor made an amazing bouquet from the flowers on the property. The proximity to La Fortuna was amazing, we were able to see the volcanoes and made the trip to Mistic tours for the suspension bridges, which was incredible. I would definitely stay at this location again and i highly recommend this for any nature lovers looking for a true Costa rican experience. Also, the first and second floor are only connected by outdoor steps. It was great for us because our teens stayed downstairs and loved it. (But with younger kids this may be an issue) We met Lilander at a stable close by and had an amazing horseback ride to a waterfall! Highly recommend this place!"
