"Great location, only 5min walk to closest subway station. Great hosts who were very responsive and gave us a lot of great recommendations on matcha ceremony and sake tasting. Not to mention there are 4 complimentary activities included (matcha, sake, fan painting, and card game). Unit is small but very cozy if you want to experience sleeping on futons."

"This was a lovely hotel! Great location close to the metro and only two stops up from Kyoto Station; it’s right next to the market and a lot of shopping and restaurants. It was very easy for us to get around to all the sights we wanted to see! The room itself was huge and clean. The beds were possibly the most comfy hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. The staff were very kind and also helped me ship my luggage at the end. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"We had an incredibly peaceful stay at Toshiharu Ryokan. It was such an interesting experience to stay in a traditional ryokan. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the traditional breakfast we had one morning was absolutely delicious, highly recommend trying it. Such a special and memorable experience if you’re looking for something a little different in Kyoto."
