"We were only there for a few hours before we caught our flight. the staff were super accommodating. Gave us a discount on our parking because we weren’t gonna be there long. Bed was comfy "

"The hotel is going through some upgrades, but I don't believe they have completed the work. The rooms have been upgraded, however I am not terribly impressed. Good size rooms, but too stark and sterile. Scale of furniture is off for size of room. They could also use some area rugs to warm up the otherwise sterile feeling. Looks like it was designed on a dime. Staff was polite and helpful. I had prepaid my room but they charged me twice and held $700 on my debit card for over 5 days which is not cool. Area was convenient for my reasons to be there, but there is nothing going on at night. It's a little depressing."

"The hotel and rooms smelled musty, maybe a problem with too much carpet in a humid climate. I could live with that as the rooms were better. The restaurant, I ordered to go fish tacos to my room. These were by far the WORST fish tacos I have ever experienced. The fish appeared to be a freezer burned over cooked hunk of something that was not immediately identifiable as fish. I am a Hilton member and have stayed at Hilton properties all up and down the east coast this unfortunately is not up to Hiltons standards, I will not ever be returning."

"This hotel was wonderful for a long stay. The staff was amazing particularly Ms Ashley that helped get a room clean for me so me and my kids could get into the room in a timely manner."

"Terrible experience. Southbank Hotel was under construction, after being bought out by Marriott. This was not disclosed to me by hotels.com or Marriot when I made reservation. When I say under construction, I don’t mean slight construction I mean, heavy construction, and total remodel. The carpets were filthy. The hotel was understaffed in the housekeeping department so if you wanted a refresh of your room or total clean, you had to ask for it at the front desk. We had to wait on towels two days. I would say the only decent place in the hotel was the bar lounge area. On our second night there at 1:30 in the morning the fire alarm goes off so evacuation was needed. The person at the front desk told us if the fire alarm goes off again don’t worry we have the engineer here to turn it off immediately. We were outside for almost an hour. He also told us that this had happened several times. Speaking of staff most were nice and tried to be accommodating. This by far is the worst experience we’ve had with a hotel and especially a Marriott hotel."
