"Travelers need to understand that Nantucket is a serene, unplugged,and historic place. The Martin House is an excellent example of a historic house turned into a boutique B & B (breakfast is light continental). There is no elevator. You walk the stairs if you are staying on the 2nd or 3rd floor. We had a wonderful time here. Everything was a short walk from the Martin House. The manager, David, was gracious and accommodating and his homemade granola was excellent. Pastry choices were outstanding. Coffee, water, and tea were available all day. The open sitting area was relaxing and pristine. Staying at the Martin House is an excellent way to disconnect from the busy world and relax in Nantucket. Highly recommend."
