"This property met our needs very nicely. It is, as it is described, a little on the rustic side, but it is clean and comfortable and - with a king size bed - a perfect haven for two tired travelers. The room is a studio with a nice size bathroom and large closet. It has a microwave, coffee maker (with coffee provided) and a number of welcome snacks. The property could use a few upgrades (carpet), but it was very comfortable for us. I'd certainly reserve the property again if I visit Weaverville."

"Checking in was easy, but the neighbor/manager quizzed me about the number of guests I said there were. After searching the inside of the very hot house for the Air Conditioner control, since the listing said there is AC, I waved down the manager, he said the remote is on the wall by the unit. It's a small AC in the wall of the dining room. Upstairs was like a furnace even with the fans running 24/7 and the AC going too. It cooled off outside at night so we could open the windows that had screens, but the screens are filthy so not much air was getting in. The beds in all 4 upstairs bedrooms are comfortable, but there are no murphy beds as is in the description. There are two full baths upstairs and a 1/2 bath downstairs. There is a washer and dryer and after about 30 minutes of searching for the laundry soap I messaged Maggie (next door), no reply until Saturday morning. I was told the washer is pre-loaded with enough soap for 5 loads. What the heck! She said most people bring their own detergent. Really?? The listing was specific about knowing how many people so you could get 2 towels per person and 1 garbage bag per day. If it wasn't for the pool and hot tub, we would have left and got a hotel. No hospitality. The neighbor's dog barked every time we were in the front. We drove to Lewiston and Trinity lakes to swim for the days were were there. Check out is at 10 take all the sheets and comforters downstairs."

"The staff was off sight. I have to say though that via Ring and SMS he was still very helpful, friendly and curious. Actually he was the best part of our stay. Problem #1 The bathroom smelled of urine. AND in the bowl was URINE. Problem #2 The floor in the bathroom is woeful. I put towels down so I didn't have to walk on it by the toilet. The flooring was shot. It was pulling away from the floor boards, walls and fixtures. Problem#3 the sink had a leak, but not to worry, the garbage can was on the job! Problem#4 The shower water knobs we're reversed, and the curtain was gross 😝. The beds were ok. When we figured out my dog fee wasn't charged when I payed for the room on line. The staff was willing to let it go in lieu of the room conditions. Why didn't we switch rooms? We had just unloaded the car, it was a long 6 hrs on the road. I have degenerative Disc disease and advanced arthritis. (My back is breaking down. From my cervical (neck) and the lumbar & sacrum ( Low back &Tail Bone) My right hip is in the same condition. I would not ask Nick to move us back across the drive way to another room (which had been offered). He was exhausted too. It was better for us to find peace where we could, accept the no charge on the pet fee, get some rest and leave early. Which we did. Sad to say, We will just not be able to return there."

"GREAT PLACE! We absolutely loved the location and the house had everything we needed to cook, relax, and play. I love there wasn’t clutter, just the basics you need for a weekend getaway. Lots of room and storage. Hot tub was clean but a little overfilled (Not a big deal) Pool was open but a lot of debris (leaves and pollen). Started to clean because it was a beautiful day to swim but I didn’t want to spend the day cleaning it so we never used it (not a big deal) Very big pool, we hope to use it next time for sure. Easy check in and out. Quiet neighborhood with a deer family that was across the street and sometimes in the front yard. Large fenced backyard with plenty of space for our puppy and to see the stars at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 5 min from Trinity County Brewing Company where we had great beer and delicious food! 20 min to the lake. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Pictures were accurate so we didn’t feel deceived. Definitely coming back."
