« Sign said 100 dollars a night I paid 63 dollars more. Also wasn't sold out for weekend. Nice location just needs some TLC. Beds were very old. »

« Super great location if you want to explore the Porcupine Mountains area. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were great. Sitting out on the Lake Superior beach on the property during sunset in front of a campfire is what great memories are made of! »

« This is a ski resort from the '60's that has been recently refurbished. It was perfect for our overnight stay to visit the Porcupine Mountains. Our room was in the main building on the first floor and was updated and clean, quiet in the offseason of September, and the mattress was very comfortable. With the included breakfast of homemade scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola bars, we found it to be a good value. We also highly recommend the Iron Nugget...

« This was a great spot. Possibly the best I’ve been to in the UP. Friendly staff and very well maintained. The owners obviously care about the hotel. Would definitely stay here again if I’m ever visiting the area. A little higher priced than other hotels in the area but well worth it. »

« This was a great place to stay while exploring Porcupine Mountains, Keweenaw Peninsula, Apostle Islands, and Lake Superior Beaches. Nice central location. Host was excellent with communication. On Thursdays, you might even get the option for homemade pasties to be delivered. House is spacious, couches are comfortable. Many items provided to ensure you can eat at the house.
