Chalets rustiques à Parc d'état de Belle Isle

« The room and bathroom were not clean --dead bug on the radiator for our whole stay, grimy bathroom. The pool was out of order. The entrance to the hotel was poorly maintained with bricks coming up and nothing but weeds in the flower pots. The carpet in the room was covered with stains. We left a day early even though we paid in advance. Never again. »

« I have never met a friendlier or better trained staff in 50+yrs of travel. Trained to call you by name; surprise xtra’s on night turndown. Low key hospitality and excellent food. I will remember the Salt and Meadow yeast rolls as “best ever”. Upstairs halls could use touch up paint and artwork but room was immaculate and bed/pillows etc very comfortable. »

« Dirty walls needed washing and paint. Especilly in bathroom. Shower light flickered and had dead bugs inside, Shower had some black mold along top here and there. Toilet had brown, old caulk all around. Exposed pipes under sink needs dusting/wiped down. Pull back the curtain from the picture window and you see dust and bugs on the window sill. No pool as pictured. Didn’t see laundry facilities. No smoke detector in room - it was missing. At least the A/C worked, the bed was comfortable,...

« The staff was friendly. The room was clean and linens on the bed were made well. I slept better than usual in a hotel. The physical facilities were old and needed work but this did not hinder our stay. It was an ok place to stop for the night. I would stay again. »

« Hotel very dated. The smell of cigarette smoke was really bad. My room was ok, but the pillows smelled like mildew and the toilet seat was peeling. Made for an uncomfortable night sleep. »
