Location: It was very easy to take the train from the airport-just a couple of blocks from the R2 stop.
We loved the location, close to stuff, but not right on Ramblas. The staff was really great, and the room was lovely-clean ,comfy, quiet( we chose a smaller room on the courtyard side). The breakfast was definitely worth the extra cost- large spread with lots of variety, great coffee. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated, and has common areas that are really pleasant to hang out in. I can't wait to return!

Lovely Hotel, Room to Small

Posted 15-May-2016
Pros: Friendly very helpful staff. Good location. Lovely building.
Cons: Better advance choice for larger room. Need printer for boarding passes although staff allowed guests to email passes to front desk for printing.
Location: Lovely building. Only overnight stay in rain.
Check in was friendly, professional and efficient. Room was very small which made it difficult to move luggage. Room and bathroom were efficiently appointed. Breakfast was good. They should have a printer in the room with the computer to print boarding passes rather than sending to front desk. It is a beautiful hotel which was once a fine residence. I arrived late and was a very tired traveler. Bar food was good although server was alone with too many customers on an exceptionally rainy evening that kept many people indoors. Someone should have been called in to help him.

Luxurious Comfort

Posted 23-Apr-2016
Pros: Clean, comfortable bed, quiet
Hotel is conveniently located near Las Ramblas with many wonderful eating places all around. The room was completely redone with a beautiful luxurious shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the quiet restful patio and the light snacks provided. We highly recommend this hotel.

A Hotel with an Elegant Touch

Posted 22-Apr-2016
Pros: The terrace is a relaxed, comfortable space where you can read or meet with friends. The management was very helpful.
Cons: More English content or subtitles on the television.
Location: It is near the Plaza Catalunya where you can get the Aerobus to the airport and where you can get many tours of the city and surrounding areas.
Well situated and quiet, this hotel has an intimate feel. The location is central and convenient. The management is very helpful. Though there is no pool the garden terrace is elegant and has lots of space. The afternoon "tea" is a nice addition. For 2 euros you can have a nice snack. They provide free WIFI and have computers if needed.

Pros: Loved the character and eclectic blend of gorgeous old building and updated decor.
Location: Great location, we walked to the Gaudi buildings (Batllo & Padrera) but took a taxi back from Sagrada Familia for about 8 euro.
We loved Granvia! It was a classy modern updated gorgeous old building. Very clean. The desk staff was very helpful, even speaking English. We didn't eat at the restaurant (we ate at the bar next door, but shouldn't have), but there was coffee and tea there, as it was not in our rooms. It was very nice up there in the restaurant, and we really enjoyed the large beautiful outdoor space. There was also a huge gorgeous library with a couple computers and free wifi throughout. It is not a hub of excitement, however, very quiet except for traffic noise.

Hotel Granvia was bang on the money.

Posted 11-Apr-2016
Pros: Friendly Staff, Comfort, quiet
Cons: Wasn't really an issue but maybe a little more variety on the Fried breakfast side
Location: Tour busses all nearby , Les Rambles (10min walk) , Gaudi's 2 main building attractions nearby . Metro station a few yards from the hotel entrance.
The Hotel was extremely relaxed and comfortable. The rooms very spacious, I compared 3 as I booked 3 for family members. They all have slight differences - some have bath/showers and some a large shower. The Hotel interior décor and restaurant were very pleasant. There were no tea / coffee facilities within the rooms , but was greatly compensated by the free tea/ coffee facility available from early morning until 22:00. 6 family memebers stayed here and all loved it . The other key factor was its location which gave great access to the city. Around the corner at Placa De Catalunya (one of the main city squares) All their Tour buses and other links start and terminate here such as the Aerobus service from the airport, also is where Les Rambles begins. Looking forward to my next stay here.

Wunderbares Hotel in der Stadt

Posted 7-Apr-2016
Pros: alles, d.h. Lage, Zimmer, Frühstück und der Flair des Hotels
Cons: nein
