We chose this property for an add-on trip to Barcelona after visiting Portugal. The hotel is ideally located, but what makes the hotel stand out is the outstanding staff! From reception to the Bell staff to housekeeping and the restaurant everyone was kind, courteous and helpful. They provided guidance for tours, restaurants, and other things to do in the area. They were very accommodating for all of our special requests.

We stayed in Barcelona at the start and end of our trip, and specifically at this hotel the last 2 nights. The area around the hotel was great, and the room was clean. However, the air conditioning was not working well, despite turning it on by 5 or 6 PM every night the room didn't get cool till around 1 AM. In addition, when we asked for a bucket of ice for our room we were charged for it, which felt a bit petty.

The lobby and rooms are infused with a very strong perfume. I asked and this is evidently done on purpose as a policy of the hotel. It was more than unpleasant.. it made me feel nauseous and gave me a headache. This is a very unhealthy policy. (Read the research on environmental allergies/sensitivities and perfume)My two travelling companions all vowed we would never stay in one of your properties again. Too bad.. everything else was excellent. But that's little compensation for feeling sick for the entire stay!

Beautiful hotel in perfect location!
My family and I had an amazing time here! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We needed an additional roll out bed for our little boy and one was bought to our room while we were out exploring. The room is beautiful and so comfortable.More spacious than some others in the area. The location was perfect as multiple landmarks , shopping, top rated restaurants and public transportation were all in walking distance. The Aldi grocery store just next door was also so convenient ! I will absolutely stay here again on future trips to Barcelona.
