"The room was nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant located on the 3rd floor was not very good. We waited too long for our food, and it was not hot. The restaurant service needs improvement. The casino was nice."

Timberline Lodge - Arnold - Bear Valley

"Timberline Lodge in Arnold is a nice hotel conveniently located along CA-4. It was very close to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. There are a good number of restaurants catering to different cuisines. Our favorites were Bistro Espresso and Sarafina’s Italian Restaurant. The lodge itself looks newly renovated and well maintained. The amenities met our needs. The only problem we had was with the air conditioning. It was a hot weekend in August with temperature in the 90’s and the a/c wasn’t cooling enough. The chilly night time air took care of cooling the room with the windows open. All in all, it was a good experience for us. Highly recommended."

"Staff was super helpful! Accommodated my disabilities and made it a pleasant stay. The breakfast the next morning was absolutely amazing! It was nice to see that big of a breakfast included. Love the fact that it had an upper balcony you could sit and people watch on."
