The driveway on arrival was interesting! It's short, quite steep and winding. Fortunately, we didn't meet any traffic coming the other way, as I'm not sure what we would have done if we had! The place had a charm of its own. Our room was about what we expected: clean, tidy and compact. However, the view from the window was well beyond expectations! We had a fantastic view of central Auckland, including the Harbour Bridge and Sky Tower. And this was from one of the "budget" rooms. I imagine the views from the deluxe rooms would be spectacular. Breakfast was relaxed, with a help-yourself continental breakfast and a cooked option as well. Very nice. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. **Bottom line: Would we stay again? Absolutely, yes!**
