This can sometimes pose a problem, particularly the lack of an elevator for older clientele. Our room on the 3rd floor facing the park and restaurants required walking up 54 steps. "The hotel was an excellent choice for us with great staff! The area boasts fantastic restaurants within minutes away. Don’t be put off by the graffiti in the streets. We felt safe and comfortable. A few blocks walk to the hop on hop off bus which is a great way to see the city!!! Highly recommend this hotel. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Altar Suites. The property is situated in a very central area and offers spectacular views of the major historical sites. We were greeted by the friendly staff and they were all very enthusiastic and polite. We definitely recommend this property. "

"Location of the property is in an alley so a big van or shuttle would not be able to drop you off directly. The property is center of a lot of bars and restaurants. The only issue are the elevators. It's small (can fit 1 person and 1-2 luggage at a time) and it can take awhile to get down if you have a lot of luggages. Overall the staff is very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again."

"Some other reviews have mentioned it is in a seedy neighbourhood, only if you went looking for it. The Suites are ultra clean, modern and safe. Added bonus's are many lovely bars, cafe's, and the hop on hop off bus is just across the road."

"We needed to stay one night. We flew in the night before and flew out early the next morning. Communication regarding the transfer was excellent. We had one time change and one delay and we were picked up exactly on time and dropped off early the next morning. It took a lot of stress off after a long time of travelling. The owner was very warm and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. "

"This was super cute! I loved the little walk way to the suites, very pretty! And the suite itself was very cute😁 outside the property was not overly pretty, kind of alley like, but there was a super market on the corner and very short walk to some restaurants right on the ocean (i did it in massive heels and a dress) although you are either walking on the street or an uneven dirt type shoulder. Not really any sidewalks. But the property itself was great!"
