"We went for my wife's 40th birthday with multiple families with kids. It was a perfect venue and stay that was closer to the Liberia airport vs Fortuna. We had Tucans on the property, parrots, and plenty of beautiful birds. There is enough distance from each of the villas that gave you some privacy, but close enough to also feel together easily. "Beautiful boutique hotel. Only 6 rooms. each individually decorated . Owner chef welcoming and very personable. Amazing tasting meal available as well as regular menu. Enjoy the included family style breakfast (for hotel guests only) while you watch Toucans at the feeders. Highly recommend stopping at Gingerbred!"

"This place was the perfect past leg of our stay! A little more secluded and peaceful than Fortuna. I higly recommend. With just a couple notes. The portable AC unit isn’t really suffient to cool the house during the day. That being said, if you’re venturing out for day adventures this is perfect! Also, with the area being more secluded, food options are limited especially after dark. The pizza place up the road is great though! So is Gingerbread."

"We really loved the location and staff at this hotel - the view is BEAUTIFUL over-looking the lake and was the highlight of the hotel and they've created cute decks in front of each room which are nice to relax on. The rooms and beds are fine but we did have bugs (including a cockroach) in the room. "Alexandra is an amazing host. She was very accommodating, warm and helpful. She even brought us bread and pinto gallo in the morning. LIttle Paradise is well situated and all the major sights (La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano, Monteverde) are at most an hour drive away. The property is scenic and vast, with a beautiful view of the lake.
