« The hotel was quite run down, with chipping paint, and trim, bubbles on the ceiling where leaks had happened, a dirty bathtub and a noisy refrigerator that sounded like a running truck. When it stopped, it sounded like the truck ran over a dozen coke bottles. The furnishings looked 50 years old, with dings and scratches. The nightstand had no lamp, and the chair at the working desk gave me a backache. Wi-Fi was feeble and slow - I got better results tethering to my phone hotspot.
