"Our stay for two nights was nice. The view from the front of the hotel is amazing…beautiful mountain scenery. Our room(king with sofa pullout) with mtn view(not street side) was very nice….super clean large room, comfy bed, quiet and everything you might need. The staff(John) at reception was great…helpful in every way! Thank you!! The breakfast was your typical ok buffet style. Was disappointed in the attitude of staff there. After 2 tries to communicate with a “good morning how are you”, finally got a response from staff member saying they’d be better in 15min when they could just leave this place and go home.Obviously doesn’t enjoy the job but not a good look on your guest to witness this attitude. On top of needing a refresher on hospitality…gloves being worn, not bare hands, would be a suggestion when picking up all the left over baked goods that are being put in plastic containers. Just a couple of observations that might be beneficial. Other guest were also aware of this attitude. Sometimes in this industry, you just have to put on a happy face. The location in Buena Vista to Main Street, lakes, trails is perfect. The positives definitely out weighed the negatives and would for sure stay here again."

"Location was perfect for us as we were attending a wedding at The Barn at Sunset Ranch. The house was beautiful and well appointed. Easy access to downtown Buena Vista and had gorgeous views. Spent the mornings watching the deer visit from the back porch."

"The owners were wonderful hosts!Went above and beyond to communicate and very responsive to questions and needs that arose.Check in and out was seem less. The house and property are beautiful and pictures don’t do them justice. Great outdoor deck and hot tub overlooking the mountains. The house is full of amenities.Big and spacious and fully met the needs of our party of 8.If your staying in the Buena Vista area I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed!"

"I can't say enough about this beautiful home surrounded by nature. We were in Nathrop for a quick four days of jeeping, shopping and eating. Everything was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, probably the best I have experienced in years. We bumped into a bit of rain; otherwise, we would have spent every evening on the decks. Great water pressure, comfy couches for relaxing, and the best location if you are hopping between Salida and BV. It's worth every penny. Truly a luxury home that we treasured!"
