1. One Marine Drive Boutique Hotel

Westcliff

"Most supportive, genuine staff! Excellent place, if we were staying longer would have explored the spa. Super short walk to see the water. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order. Great towels and pillows. Bed was very firm, but more than I prefer. The place was pristine, very impressive. Staff got us booked on a whale watching boat ride the night before, allowed us to store luggage before we departed."

"Great, spacious property in a very good central location. Felt very secure and safe. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Well equipped - would be even better with a washing machine. The only negative is that it was quite noisy with traffic outside all 3 nights we were there - which is odd as it isn’t on a main road. But cars seemed to be going past and stopping with their engines running throughout the night. Lots of great restaurants in easy walking distance but we loved Rossi’s Italian the...

The room was beautiful and clean. The view of the ocean was stunning. We did not partake in breakfast so I cannot comment. The staff was pleasant but not prominent. We felt like it was more of an air bnb as opposed to a hotel. Very quiet after nightfall. Had good sleeps. Walk into town was about 7 minutes along the ocean walkway. Beautiful. Our main complaint was no labels on the wonderful lighting switches. You have spent a lot of money on beautiful lighting, it would be nice...

The grounds are beautiful, and each room is unique and meticulously prepared with heated flooring in the washroom, personalized notes each evening, snacks, drinks and cleaning twice daily. The hotel only accommodates ~20 people which enhances the exclusivity of the experience since it is not open for public consumption. You can’t beat the ocean view - which is not done justice by the photos online. The staff wait for you to go to your meal to turndown your rooms. Menu cards at dinner at...

8/10 Good

My wife and I had a one night stay as we toured the wineries in the Hermanus area. The hotel was not in Hermanus but a little way out at Sandbaai with spectacular ocean views from the restaurant. At breakfast we saw whales in the bay. Breakfast was excellent and quality of the food outstanding. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately our room had no ocean view. We looked on to a brick wall. For the price of the room this was very disappointing.
