"I was highly impressed with the quality cleanliness and look of the place. The room was very comfortable and very well equipped with all the amenities necessary. The staff were extremely helpful in very friendly. From the main entrance is simple in appearance however when you walk through those doors and see the beautiful nature, it’s like walking into an oasis. I will definitely recommend this place."

This place is up on a steep hill with an incredible view of the ocean and area. The support staff were there when I arrived, check in was fast and simple. Breakfast offered everyday. Great value for what you receive. I am looking forward to returning in the future. I had a car so it was easy to drive up to the entrance. The walk could be a challenge for some depending on age and health. The owner (Joseph) followed up after I checked via phone just to make sure everything was fine. Very...

We just finished a wonderful 3 night stay at Puerta Plaza, Las Terrenas. It was outstanding. The staff were particularly helpful and we loved the large room with terrace.
The property is surrounded by small restaurants and the clean beach is across the street.
We plan to come again soon!

Had a wonderful vacation. Had no idea of what our choice in the D.R. was like but absolutely picked the right place. A well kept secret of D.R. Very few Canadians there, mostly Europeans. Great quiet location away from Las Terrenas but yet walking distance to all the amenities needed- shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and beaches. Climate is great, consistent temperature. Staff was great making your time there enjoyable, owners of the hotel also make your stay as if they were family making...

My husband and I wanted a few days of sun time in early February this year. It was our first time in the Dominican Republic and we booked at the very last minute. We are not really keen on "all inclusive resorts"so we hesitated quite a bit in selecting where to stay, finally deciding for the Hotel Colibri, along the beach about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Las Terranas. This turned out to be a great choice for us as it had a real Caribbean feel to it both because of its setting on the...

Really enjoyed the quietness of the hotel. The breakfast has good options depending on your taste. The bedroom is quite large and the bed is comfortable. Staff were helpful. And the beach is less than 5min walk from the hotel.

Owner can be grumpy but his helper, Simon, who also speaks english, is absolutely professional, polite and pleasant to work with. If you're offered a *free* upgrade, don't take it. You will be asked to pay a surcharge the next day or move to what you booked initially which is annoying. We had to move the 2nd because we took the bait.
This hotel is just close enough to be within walking distance of downtown (approx 20 minutes). Would come here again.
