"This place provided all that we needed for a great price. Staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast was good. And there was the sweetest cat that loves to say hi to the guests. If I return, I will bring my own pillow because the pillows were pretty hard but otherwise, it was a great experience."

"Do not rent from this place. The building is empty and up for sale. Their phone # does not work. But they were able to accept my money. Expedia did re-imburse me.
Clearly this is a scam because they sent me an email asking how my stay was knowing full well they are closed."

A hidden gem in guanacaste province! By far my favorite place, from the warm welcome, to the well-thought out layout of our cabin, to the excellent service all around!
The place is clean, safe, well maintained, easy to navigate even for our young kids, who felt right at home.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a chocolate drink and a tasting of various locally crafted cacao products. The breakfast, traditional costa rican, is made fresh every morning, with coffee/tea/hot chocolate...

Agua Inn is a wonderful facility. The location is far enough away from Nuevo Arnenal to feel private yet close enough to drive into town to dine at restaurants or visit the town. The inn is also far enough away from the main road so you do not hear the traffic. The room was charming and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly yet respected your privacy. The inn has a gorgeous view the the river and the grounds are well maintained. We were there for 2 nights and the breakfast each...

Had an excellent stay at the Pipe House with my daughter. It was a unique experience and idea in a very relaxed atmosphere. It’s close to the beach and easily accessible from the busy Tamarindo via 1$ water taxi and 10 min walk along the beautiful beach to the hostel so great if you are back packing. Area has a couple restaurants/cafes as well. Host was very friendly, helpful, and flexible with check in/out and Pipe House, kitchen etc was clean and comfortable. Would def recommend if your...

My husband and I stayed at Santa Elena Lodge for 3 nights while visiting Cuajiniquil for birding and natural history. We were told the lodge was constructed from reclaimed wood and built by the family who still run it today. It is quite a stunning structure. The gardens are lovely. The food was probably the best we had on a 9 day trip to some natural areas of Costa Rica - generous portions at every meal and good coffee There are many natural areas to visit to see birds and other wildlife and...

LOVED the pool and the room. It was 12/10. Absolutely perfect.
The only downside would be that there was no drinkable water onsite. We had to go and buy some everyday.

We stayed here for a week and it was excellent. We were here in the middle of the hot season, which meant we couldn't to do much during the middle of the day but the AC in the hotel was excellent and having the pool right there made the heat seem like no issue at all. I would highly recommend staying here for a short or long stay.

One of the best hotel experiences we have had anywhere in our travels around the world. Beautiful grounds. Super clean. Large comfortable bed. Lots of hot water in the shower. Great swimming pool (with the occasional visits from monkey, crabs, and lizards). Awesome breakfast (included) cooked to order (I had the croissant with egg and ham with a side of fresh fruit and fresh juice every morning because it was so good). Extremely helpful and attentive staff. Fridge in room was a great bonus (even...

Everything was so smooth and easy for check in & check out. Property was clean and felt very homey once we were settled in. The parking lot was a little tight for parking, but all in all it was a wonderful spot :)
