A very nice place with friendly and helpful staff. The road getting there is a little rough but manageable. We were there in the low season but the place was still upkept very nicely.

This is a great boutique hotel for someone looking for a reclusive and quite stay. It is located in the mountains with gorgeous views. Fyi. The standard room only has one queen size bed. If you're traveling with friends, it is best to book separate rooms unless you want to share a bed. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We are so glad to have chosen LADE.

Everything was perfect

I stayed at Secrets Papagayo in October when the resort was at 60% capacity, so it was pleasantly relaxed and never felt overcrowded. I’d read complaints about the shuttles, and it’s true that the steep layout makes walking around difficult. However, I never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride, even at 1 a.m. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and my room’s AC worked great. As a former military guy, I’m pretty easy to please: give me a clean room and cold air, and I’m happy! Pool chairs were limited, but we always found somewhere to leave our belongings. It wasn’t always within sight, though cameras covered the main pool area. I could see seating being a bigger issue during peak season. The food was good across the buffet, sushi restaurant, Seaside Grill, and Italian restaurant. Seaside Grill offers different lunch and dinner menus. My only minor gripe was having to wear long pants at the Italian restaurant in Costa Rica’s heat and humidity. As a single 36-year-old guy, I noticed most guests were couples celebrating honeymoons, anniversaries, or simply relaxing. Despite reviews mentioning a party atmosphere, I found it laid-back, although the off-season may explain that. The staff were attentive and even remembered my name. Special recognition goes to Dalay from the entertainment team! She led daily activities with infectious energy and personality and was genuinely one of the highlights of my stay. Overall, a great experience. I’d happily return!

A short hour+ drive from Liberia. Bahia del Sol was a pleasant surprise. A very quiet beach with restaurants, bars, and other amenities within walking distance. The grounds are beautiful. We were there in the rainy season but it was fine. Arrival day it rained most of the afternoon and evening. The next day it rained in the evening, but we got 3 solid days of sunshine and breezes. Parking is a bit tight, but we always got a spot. Free breakfast each morning, although the selection was limited. I suspect they'd have made us most anything we wanted. The staff was wonderful. So friendly and helpful. This is our 4th time to the pacific coast, Samara, Tamarindo twice, and Potrero. We liked this one the best, it was so quiet, although that may have been mainly due to the time of year. I think there were only half a dozen or so occupied rooms. I'd actually go back during the rainy season again!

No recomiendo este hotel para nada, el recepcionista muy malo, no estaba en el lugar, tuvimos que esperar, también no nos indicó nada, ni donde estaban las toallas de piscina, ni la clave de internet. El lugar huele mal en ciertos sectores, en la noche llegaba un olor terrible del baño, los muebles están en terrible condiciòn. No vayan ahí!
